Opened in the fall of 2005, Theo's American Kitchen & Cocktail Lounge blends the freshness of coastal cuisine with the comfort of Southern cooking and hospitality...simple, yet elegant food in the Contemporary American style. Executive Chef Brian Aaron's cuisine has attracted a devoted clientele and garnered widespread critical acclaim.

Wine plays an integral part in the dining experience at Theo's. Although quite extensive for the area, the smart, award winning wine list is approachable and easy to navigate, allowing guests to easily find one of their favorites or discover a new producer or varietal. Equal emphasis is placed on the bar at Theo's, with the finest spirits, liqueurs, and cocktails around. Renowned for its martinis and cocktails, the bar at Theo's is a destination all its own.

Designed by owner Scott E. Bowman and the team at Cooper Architects, the decor mixes modern lines with classic furnishings. Leather banquets, dark paneled walls, and contemporary artwork highlight the soft, candle lit rooms. The American Kitchen features an open kitchen wrapped in glass surrounded by an intimate 66 seat dining room. Light reflects off the wall of spirits and wine displayed on the expansive back bar, filling the Cocktail Lounge with a warm glow. The patio, with its 40-some dining seats and outdoor cocktail lounge, offers the most perfect al fresco eating and drinking experience in town.

And the answer to the most common question asked in the restaurant every night... "Where does the name Theo's come from?" Bowman named it after his grandfather and father, both of whom have the first name Theodore.
